Oh man, I am really sick about this. I just saw the news story about Mitt Romney putting his poor dog in a crate, strapping the crate to the roof of his station wagon, and then driving for ten hours on a family vacation. Even after the dog got sick and pooped on the roof of the car and the poop ran down the back window of the station wagon duringthe middle of the trip, Romney just stopped at a gas station, hosed down the car and the dog, and then got back on the road for more hours of driving with the poor dog still on the roof. Dog crates are for responsible owners who really care about their dogs and who want a safe place to confine and manage them. If you are going to travel with your dog crate, don't be like Mit Romney and mistreat your dog. Make room in the passenger compartment for your dog and the dog crate, so that you will be able to tell how your hound is doing as you travel. Would you let your dog be sick or terrified on the roof of your car for hours without you being able to know that your dog was in trouble? Where is the compassion in that?
